About Us

Independent Galvanizers Cooperative (also known as the IGC) was started by four independent Galvanizers in November of 2005. By the middle of 2006 we had grown to 10 members. The number of members continue to increase. Membership to IGC is by invitation only.

We exist to assist the small, individually owned business. That is why the requirements for membership are that all members are independently owned North American companies consisting of no more than three plants.

The cooperative model is used in many industries to counter industry changes such as consolidation and foreign incursion into the U.S. marketplace, both of which exist in the After Fabrication Galvanizing industry today. We believe that by working together through the IGC, the Independent Galvanizers can be stronger and can accomplish more than working alone.
